The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) considers the 2025 Isolated Systems Supply Auction , held this Friday (September 26th) by the Agency and the Electric Energy Trading Chamber (CCEE), a success. Fifty megawatts (MW) were contracted to supply electricity to cities in Amazonas and Pará that are not connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN).
After a competitive process that exceeded ANEEL's expectations, the bidding process concluded with one of the lots, Lot 3, achieving a 46.89% discount. This discount represents a discount, compared to the auction's ceiling, on the tariff remuneration that consumers must pay for the winning bidders to build the projects and generate energy during the term of the contract.
Lot 1, to serve isolated areas in Amazonas, was won by Energias do Acre SPE Ltda., offering 20,165 MW of power through five hybrid plants integrating solar and diesel thermal generation, to be installed in Cabori, Camaruã, Limoeiro, Novo Remanso, and Parauá. The total planned investment is R$72.8 million, and the discount obtained in the auction was 22.01%, with annual fixed revenue of R$17.5 million.
Lot 3, which surprised with its duration and competitiveness, was awarded to the IFX-You.on-Sisol Consortium, offering 30.1 MW of capacity, also through a hybrid plant integrating solar and diesel thermal generation, to be installed in Jacareacanga, Pará. The projected investment is R$240 million, with annual fixed revenue of R$48.2 million.
The deadline for the start of operations of the projects in both lots is December 20, 2027.
As reported on Monday (September 22), Lot 2, which was stipulated in the notice and would have served the areas of Anamã, Anori, Caapiranga, Codajás, and Coari in Amazonas, was not auctioned during the auction. The decision responds to a request from the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). The remaining lots in the auction remain unchanged, to ensure essential electricity supply to isolated regions.
